Illinois Public Act 104-0018 (2025): expressway camera images may be used only for listed serious crimes and highway safety, exported images must be deleted within 120 days unless tied to an ongoing case, discriminatory monitoring is barred, and the Act repeals on July 1, 2028.
All images from the cameras that are exported through a law enforcement database shall be deleted from that law enforcement database within 120 days, unless the images are relevant to an ongoing investigation or pending criminal trial.
