This prospective four-site observational cohort followed 315 participants aged 12–20 and reported improved appearance congruence, positive affect, and life satisfaction and decreased depression and anxiety symptoms. The abstract also reports suicidal ideation in 11 participants and two deaths by suicide. PMID 36652355.
