Pilot comparative study on the health of vaccinated and unvaccinated 6- to 12-year-old U.S. children (2017)

Other · Mawson AR, Ray BD, Bhuiyan AR, Jacob B · April 24, 2017

The study behind the flag: 666 homeschooled children in four states (261 unvaccinated, 39%), with outcomes entirely from mothers' online questionnaire responses — parent-reported, not record-verified diagnoses. It reports higher odds of parent-reported NDD in vaccinated children. Convenience sample; self-selected; no medical-record confirmation. Retracted (see MMD-33).

Adjusted analyses found vaccination associated with a neurodevelopmental disorder (learning disability, ADHD or ASD): odds ratio 3.1 (95% CI 1.4-6.8); among preterm births, the interaction of preterm birth and vaccination was associated with NDD at OR 6.6 (2.8-15.5).

Supports that such a study exists and what it reports; its design limits and double retraction define its evidentiary weight.
